Arrival of Dark Times (Vladimir/Cecillia/Syerren)

A nightly breeze blew into Collinsport as the centre of the woods near the Colllins Estates, two shadows stood gazing into the dark night, there faces hidden in the darkness. One man looked up to the other whispering, “Are you sure we should do this? She could be anywhere let alone alive.” The other man turned to him fustrated, “No, its time…she must be here. I can feel her presence.” “ But what about your curse brother?” “I don’t know, she said that was uncertain to return.” Looking towards the cottage in a distance, one man sighed, “So much has changed. We haven’t been here in over half a century.” The other man sighed, “I know…However its time we reunite ourselves.” Hearing a voice in the distance to two hid behind the tree looking to see who it was approaching towards them. Sneering, one man grabbed the other pulling him said, "Its just a girl, come, we must find her."

Finding herself in the middle of the woods, Cecillia looked around confused. “I don’t remember being out here,” she thought to herself, shrugging the thought off. Knowing exactly where she was, Cecillia continued on down the path to the Old House, however, up in the distance she saw two men standing, looking in the direction of the Old House. Curious as to what Vladimir and Syerren might be doing out in the middle of the woods, she began to walk towards them, calling out for them. As Cecillia advanced on the two, she was puzzled by their behavior of ducking behind a tree. With a smile, she finally approached them. “Vladimir, Syerren . . . are you two planning something? It’s hardly a night go by that you aren’t with Amy indoors!”

Vladimir and Syerren starred blankly at the girl who approached them. Syerren watched as Vlad prepared to lunge forward attacking the girl then grabbed him as she mentioned the name Amy. Receiving a deceiving look from his brother, Syerren ignored it and looked down at the girl, “Do we know you? And you speak of this Amy…we are looking for an Amy Collins.” Seeing she was puzzled by the questions, Vlad forcibly shouted feed himself from Syerren’s grip pinning the girl to a tree, “Answer us!"

Curious as to what this was all about this time, Cecillia calmly rested in Vladimir’s grip, staring past him at Syerren. “Amy is probably looking for the two of you now . . . over at the Old House; I’m heading there now, are you?” Noticing the peculiar looks she was receiving, Cecillia irritably grabbed hold of Vladimir’s arm; “why are you doing this?”

Syerren watched struck by what the girl was saying. Hearing Amy was at the Old House Vladimir instantly released her, “The Old House of course.” Without saying another word he darted into the night leaving his brother, “Vlad wait! She knows…too much.” Sighing he stood sneering at Cecillia. “Look I don’t know who you are, but how you came across our names when we have only just arrived…” Syerren forcibly turned away then began walking away. Stopping a brief moment, “I suggest you go back home and forget you saw us.”

“Well, I was actually going to stop by the Old House Syerren . . . you know how I frequently stay there . . .” Confused by his and Vladimir’s persistent remarks, she followed close by him. “Of course, I suppose that if you don’t think I should come to the Old House tonight, that I will just return to Collinwood and come back tomorrow evening. You and Vladimir seem on edge tonight anyway.”

Annoyed by Cecillia’s constant chatter about knowing them and being social to him, Syerren forcibly grabbed a hold of her arms, “Just be quiet for a moment alright?” He looked into her eyes frustrated, “Listen, I don’t know who you are, how you know us or how you knew where Amy du Près Collins was but you are going to get hurt if you continue acting this way.” Releasing her, Syerren continued down the path hoping Vlad has Amy back in his arms again.

“Mrs. Amy Collins Armâge you mean, Syerren,” Cecillia said, causing Syerren to turn around once more. “How ever could you forget that Syerren! Surely the wedding was the biggest event since . . . you being a vampire by day hawk by night, and I, merely a deer wishing to find a way back to you. Or perhaps the snowstorm which caused you and Vladimir to have to move your coffins from the mausoleum to the basement of the Old House.” Expecting a smile, Cecillia instead found something else on Syerren’s face, something that alerted her that she had said too much.

Syerren wide eyed remaining motionless staring at the girl telling him everything that has yet to happen in his time. “You must have me confused with someone else, neither I and nor my brother have ever done such things you are telling us.” Hearing the words of Amy’s name he shook his head horror, “Mrs? She can’t be married!” Looking away continuing to hear the stories, he cried out, “Enough! No more of your fantasies!” Syerren rapidly grabbed a hold of her arm dragging her, “You will speak no more until told so! You have knowledge that no one must know!”
